January:

I kicked off 2025 with a visit to my small business friends -- like Kim Whyte  of Pawpear -- exhibiting in the LEO Pavilion and DCCI space at Showcase, the largest annual B2B retail event in Ireland. What a vibe in the hall! It's a fantastic way to start the year and hear plans for --the year ahead just as the calendar ticks over.

February:

Tired of seeing events on LinkedIn after they happened that would have been worthwhile attending I created the bootstrap FREE weekly networking digest newsletter 'Noteworthy Networking' in February. By December 2025 I had sent over 40 editions featuring no less than 20 events around Ireland and across industry to a list of almost 600 subscribers.

March:

In March Femmy O Foundation asked me along to speak on one of their panel events for entrepreneurs. This opportunity evolved into a further virtual session on the Lean Model Canvas for grant applicants and later an invitation to join the board of the organization, which I gladly accepted.

April:

It was a pleasure to re-connect with Seán Tobin from .ie in April to record an episode of the podcast project 'Thrive Online' where we chatted about digital marketing for small Irish businesses.

May:

By early summer I'd completed two professional development courses -- a diploma in E-Commerce from the UCD Professional Academy and my certificate in training facilitation from 'Train the Trainer' via the Open Academy.

June:

Thanks to Pauline Logan for the invitation to join Cindy Wenzel in June for an evening presenting on the Customer Journey and sales techniques for Local Enterprise Office Dublin City Women in Business Network. It was an unreal atmosphere and to connect with so many inspired and motivated women was just the boost I needed heading into a summer of planning and prepping for Litir Marketing.

August:

When Joshua Agbor invited me to participate in his August event at WorkIQ I was only delighted to say yes! It was a pleasure to experience Josh's style of presentation and meet the community who came together on the day to learn about content marketing -- particularly newsletter building.

September:

September saw the conclusion of my 'Empowered Email Marketing' webinars which began as 1 session and morphed into 3 over the summer. This was a huge learning experience for me. I connected with new and returning businesses each session and shared tips on vocabulary, strategy and implementation in email marketing. This programme would eventually inspire my service offering of 'Empowered Email Marketing' clinics.

October:

In anticipation of the Belfast Marketing Meet Up in November the amazing Treena Clarke invited me to record a conversation for the 'Bmmunity' with Sophie Blackmore all about Sophie's brilliant book 'It's Only Bloody Marketing'. It ticks all the boxes. Human. Relatable. Clear. Not written by a marketing bro. What more could you want?

November:

My third Belfast Marketing Meet Up was in November and as ever it did not disappoint. BMMU is the day for marketers -- in house, freelance, etc. -- to come together and experience 'not another marketing conference'. Special shout out to the lovelies behind Blame it on Marketing ™ who humored my shadowing them for the day. I've already got my tickets booked for 2026, do you?
